A project that revolves around the recognition and appreciation of a rich spectrum of arts distributed by the African Diaspora.
From the rhythmically organized field songs that inspired the musical components of the Harlem Renaissance, to the beautifully choreographed dances of Brazil, ancient African traditions, customs, and artistry have undoubtedly graced the cultures of their global counterparts. Whether they migrated by force or by choice, the African people have tenaciously carried the heart of their Motherland to all corners of the earth. Even today, a plethora of musical genres, visual arts, fashions and cuisines of Afro-based communities stand on the pillars of their African roots. In truth, the Forgotten Continent can never truly be forgotten. Africa bears the seed of a classic and traditional culture that has been aesthetically sowed around the world, enriching every soil in which it has been planted. My only hope is to point to that beauty and simply honor the roots, the origins, The Classics.
